Pro-Tips for the Perfect Fit
-
Over vs. Under: If you wear your shin guards over the tongues of your skates, you may want to stick to your exact measurement. If you tuck them under the tongues, some officials prefer to go 1 inch shorter to prevent the guard from being pushed up by the skate.
-
The "Two-Finger" Rule: When you are standing up, there should be about a two-finger gap between the bottom of the shin guard and your ankle bone to ensure you have full range of motion.
